Westfield Selects Envision Solar’s EV ARC™ to Offer Free Holiday EV Charging and Help San Diego Area Veterans Causes
Holiday Campaign Will Benefit The Honor Foundation
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (Dec. 3, 2015) – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media and branding and EV charging product company, is pleased to announce that its transportable solar-powered EV charging station, EV ARC™, has been selected by Westfield to offer free holiday EV charging to the public at Westfield Mission Valley mall. The free solar-powered EV charging will be available from Nov. 23, 2015 to Jan. 5, 2016. The EV ARC™ will be located at the valet parking entrance of the mall and will be made available to any electric vehicle, free of charge.
The EV ARC™ provides solar-powered EV charging and is also equipped with a digital outdoor advertising screen to display messaging to Westfield guests during the holiday season.
Both Westfield and Envision Solar are big supporters and employers of veterans and are asking guests that use the unit to make a voluntary donation to The Honor Foundation. The Honor Foundation provides executive education, professional development, career coaching, and transition management to US Special Operations Forces and works with Envision Solar to place Special Operations veterans.
“We’re so grateful to Westfield and Envision Solar for choosing us as a beneficiary of their holiday giving campaign,” said Joe Musselman, CEO of The Honor Foundation. “The contributions collected from their customers will help provide a bridge for our US Special Operations Forces Fellows from their elite posts serving our country, to elite futures within the private sector. This wouldn’t be possible for our veterans without such great support from our progressive community members like Westfield and Envision.”
“The Envision Solar EV Charging Station is a really fun way to provide guests of the Center with free charging during the holiday season. The fact that the EV charging station is powered through solar panels is a unique additional layer of ecological responsibility,” said Nate Smith, General Manager of Westfield Mission Valley. “The best part about this partnership between Westfield and Envision Solar is that the production of these charging stations equates to quality jobs for our local veterans. ”
“This program provides a brilliant combination of benefits,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “Driving on sunshine for free is valuable for San Diegans and we are proud to work with Westfield to make that possible. We are grateful for our fantastic veteran employees and the fact that this program will also enable donations to The Honor Foundation is a terrific bonus.”
