Desmond Wheatley

Wheatley joined BEAM as a consultant in 2010 when it was Envision Solar, and has served as the Company’s CEO since 2011 and as Chairman of the Board since 2016. He has two decades of senior international management experience in technology systems integration, energy management, communications and renewable energy. He was a founding partner in the international consulting practice Crichton Hill LLC. Prior to Crichton Hill, Wheatley was CEO of iAxis FZ LLC, a Dubai based alternative energy and technology systems integration company. From 2000 to 2007, he held a variety of senior management positions at San Diego based Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, fka Wireless Facilities with the last five years as President of ENS, the largest independent security and energy management systems integrator in the USA. Prior to ENS, Wheatley held senior management positions in the cellular and broadband wireless industries, deploying infrastructure and lobbying in Washington DC on behalf of major wireless service providers. Wheatley has founded, funded and operated four profitable start-up companies and was previously engaged in M&A activities. Wheatley evaluated acquisition opportunities, conducted due diligence and raised commitments of $500M in debt and equity.

Ms. McDermott is a seasoned financial executive with both Fortune 500 and small and medium-sized company experience. She has consistently contributed to growth in profitability while managing public offerings, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

KATHERINE MCDERMOTT

Ms. McDermott is a seasoned financial executive with both Fortune 500 and small and medium-sized company experience. She has consistently contributed to growth in profitability while managing public offerings, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Prior to her appointment at BEAM (formerly Envision Solar), she was the chief financial officer for Steico Industries, a subsidiary of global aerospace company Senior plc (LON: SNR). Prior to that, she served for 10 years as chief financial officer for LRAD Corporation (Nasdaq: LRAD), a directed sound technology company. She also served in leadership positions in the financial departments of National Pen, Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq: LTX), Bausch & Lomb and with a component division of General Motors. Ms. McDermott holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester.

Sandra Peterson

Sandra Peterson brings 20 years of global technology marketing and business development experience in automotive technology, mobile, artificial intelligence and consumer electronics. Before joining BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) in early 2020, Ms. Peterson led the AI and go-to-market strategy at Absolutdata, a leading AI and analytics company. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at early stage startups and Fortune 500 companies including Apple, Nvidia, Adobe and Palm. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of California at San Diego, and a Master’s degree in International Business from St. Mary’s College of Moraga.

Rick Assmann, Director of Manufacturing Operations

Rick Assmann is a former United States Marine with over two decades of management and supervision experience in manufacturing. Rick currently is the Production Manager at BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) responsible for all aspects of production, delivery, operations and maintenance.

He is expert in production and maintenance planning, forecasting and supervision and is also a qualified Safety Officer. He has a track history of delivering products on schedule and safely.

Erick Castro, Fabrication Manager

Erick Castro is the Fabrication Manger at BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) with close to 16 years of experience in welding and fabrication. Castro is responsible for all aspects of fabrication of the EV ARC™ structural elements and runs the team of welders and fitters employed by BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) to fabricate our products. Castro obtained his welding certification and finished his three-month program in only five short weeks.

Erick Castro

Erick Castro is the Fabrication Manger at BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) with close to 16 years of experience in welding and fabrication. Castro is responsible for all aspects of fabrication of the EV ARC™ structural elements and runs the team of welders and fitters employed by BEAM (formerly Envision Solar) to fabricate our products. Castro obtained his welding certification and finished his three-month program in only five short weeks. Soon after receiving his certification, he quickly moved up as a naval ship builder at General Dynamics. After his position at General Dynamics, Castro was the welding lead at Fabrication Technologies, Inc. Castro has a proven track record of reducing costs, while ensuring BEAM produces the highest quality products. Castro is responsible for training and managing all welders and overseeing proper fabrication procedures and techniques.

Bryan Kennard is the Chief Applications Engineer at BEAM (formerly Envision Solar). Bryan has spent four years improving and perfecting the EV ARC™ product and creating code, monitoring and electrical engineering solutions for the products.

Prior to joining BEAM Bryan was a data engineer for Capital One. Bryan received his Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He has served as President & CEO of Fisker Automotive (founded in late 2007 and producer of the award-winner Karma plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, now called Karma Automotive) from August 2012 to August 2013, leading the company’s turnaround efforts which culminated in the sale of the Department of Energy (DoE) loan to new owners.

Peter W. Davidson is Co-founder and CEO of the Aligned Intermediary (AI), an investment advisory group created to help large scale, long-term investors (LTIs) channel significant amounts of institutional capital into resource innovation. Peter W. Davidson

Peter W. Davidson is Co-founder and CEO of the Aligned Intermediary (AI), an investment advisory group created to help large scale, long-term investors (LTIs) channel significant amounts of institutional capital into resource innovation. Prior to AI, Davidson was the Executive Director of the Loan Programs Office (LPO) at the U.S. Department of Energy. Appointed to that position by President Obama in May 2013, he oversaw the program’s $30 billion portfolio. Before LPO, Davidson was the Executive Director of New York State’s Empire State Development Corporation. Prior to entering government service, Davidson founded and/or managed six media companies. Since 2001, Davidson has also been chairman of the JM Kaplan Fund, a family foundation with over $150 million in assets. Earlier in his career, Davidson was an executive in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co. He holds a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. For the past 25 years, Davidson has lived in Brooklyn, NY, where he also serves on a number of boards of local Brooklyn institutions.

Nancy Floyd, Board of Directors

Nancy Floyd is the founder and Managing Director of Nth Power LLC, a venture capital firm that specializes in clean energy technology since 1993.
