“We take the circuit that takes electricity to the streetlight to run the bulb, which is not enough to charge an electric vehicle on its own, not in any meaningful way. We take that circuit and we run it into our batteries. We also run the electricity from the wind into the batteries, and we run the electricity from the solar into the batteries, and it turns out, when you combine all three sources of electricity, now you can meaningfully charge an electric vehicle,” explained Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley, in an interview.
