As a Mechanical Assembler your responsibilities will be:
- Assemble coated sub-assemblies together.
- Follow production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions.
- Interpret and work from drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
- Prep and/or combine sub-assemblies using the appropriate hardware and move them to the appropriate location
- Use, maintain, and put back in the proper place the tools called out for each operation
- Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Troubleshoot and rework defects on assemblies.
Mechanical Assembler candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear understanding of mechanical hardware (wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, etc.) and proper methods
- Basic level knowledge of blueprints and Bill of Materials
- Requires ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Must be available for overtime weekdays and Saturdays as needed.
Job opening: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 5am-1:30pm (2nd shift 8:30am-6:00pm)
Mechanical Assemblers:
$18 entry level
$19 one to three years of experience using hand tools
$20 four to nine years of experience using hand tools
$22 ten plus years of experience using hand tools
Experience with the following is a plus:
- 5S, Lean methodologies
- Electronic assembly
- Fiberglass assembly
- Material handling – heavy cranes, heavy forklifts and manlifts
