Tony Posawatz Joins Envision Solar International as a Board Member

Seasoned Automotive Executive to Help Grow the Company’s Solar Powered Electric Vehicle Charging Business Segment

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – (Feb. 23, 2015) – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media and branding and EV charging product company, announced today the appointment of Tony Posawatz as an independent member of its Board of Directors. Posawatz is currently the President and CEO of Invictus iCar LLC and was formerly the executive in charge Global Electric Vehicle Development and Vehicle Line Director, Chevrolet Volt at General Motors. He also served as the President and CEO of Fisker Automotive and is an active board member of several automotive industry groups.

A seasoned automotive industry professional with over 30 years of experience, Posawatz is best known for his leadership in product innovation as well as having deep functional expertise in product development, planning and strategy, program management, finance, manufacturing and quality, including general management experience overseeing GM’s “Fortune 20” Full-size Truck business, initiating brands like Escalade, Avalanche and more.

Posawatz has been consistently recognized as a technology and product champion, leading his product development teams to numerous awards for automotive excellence, including both Motor Trend “Truck of the Year” and “Car of the Year” honors and is the only auto leader to achieve both.

He has also served as Co-Chairman of the Board of the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and is a current Board Member of the Electrification Coalition.

Posawatz is a licensed professional engineer (P. E.) in Michigan and was both a General Motors Undergraduate Scholar (BSME – Wayne State University) and Graduate Fellow (MBA – Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business).
