Idaho National Laboratory Selects Envision Solar EV ARC™ Solar Charging Station For Its Fleet EVs

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – August 30th, 2018 – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media, branding and EV charging product company, announced that Idaho National Laboratory has selected the Company’s EV ARC™ product to provide emissions-free EV charging for its fleet vehicles.

The EV ARC™ product’s ease of deployment and environmentally impact-free installation, coupled with the truly emissions-free driving it delivers, were major factors in the Lab’s decision to select EV ARC™ over grid-tied options. Using the EV ARC™ aligns with their goal of integrating clean energy and sustainability performance improvements, which includes fleet management, as part of their environmental policy. The remote location of INL’s desert site along with the need for clean mobility and no construction, made EV ARC™ the perfect choice. EV ARC™ products continue to charge electric vehicles during grid outages which make them a crucial part of resiliency planning for electric fleets.

“We are honored that more Department of Energy Laboratories are selecting the EV ARC to charge their fleet vehicles,” said Envision Solar CEO, Desmond Wheatley. “We are looking forward to enabling the driving on sunshine experience for their entire fleet, employees and visitors too.”

In many locations, fleet vehicles are electrifying faster than the general driving public. So far this year, the mayors of LA, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle have partnered on a Request for Information for 24,000 electric fleet vehicles and 30 other major cities are seeking the same information. According to Bloomberg, the landmark EV order has an estimated price of $10 billion. Envision Solar views fleets as a major opportunity and is currently supplying New York and many other cities.

Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space without reducing available parking and generates and stores enough clean solar electricity to power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The EV ARC™ product’s store energy for charging day or night, and to provide emergency power during grid failure. The EV ARC™ product is a permanent solution but because it requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease. EV ARC™ products power Level I, Level II and DC Fast Charging and can work with a customer’s existing EV charging service provider.  EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other minority demographics and highly talented, mission-driven team members.
