Envision Solar’s EV ARC™ Featured at Governor Brown’s Summit on Zero Emission Vehicles in California

SAN DIEGO, CA. (Marketwired – May 4, 2015) – Envision Solar International, Inc., (EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy Media and Branding, and EV charging product company, announced today that its EV ARC™ product is the featured renewably energized EV charging solution at Governor Brown’s Summit on Zero Emission Vehicles at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

An Envision Solar EV ARC™ with Level II charging and additional 110v and USB charging will be on display outside the EPA headquarters in Sacramento.

California leads the nation in ZEV ownership, accounting for 40% of all ZEVs on the road in the United States. The 2015 summit will be an opportunity to generate new ideas and identify ways to build upon California’s success, centered around the Governor’s new, draft 2015 ZEV Action Plan.

Governor Brown has set a target of reducing emissions to 40 percent below 1990 levels over the next 15 years and called it the most aggressive benchmark enacted by a government in North America. The Governor targeted increasing renewable electricity sources and reducing petroleum use in vehicles amongst other areas in the plan.

“With this order, California sets a very high bar for itself and other states and nations, but it’s one that must be reached – for this generation and generations to come,” said Governor Brown.

“We are delighted that the EV ARC has been selected for this important event,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “EV ARC offers State and local governments as well as corporate customers the only rapidly deployed, renewably energized EV charging option. We believe that large numbers of deployed EV ARCs will have a significant impact on delivering upon the vision described in Governor Brown’s plan and we are proud to be involved. Driving on sunshine makes sense economically and it is the perfect solution for California’s rapidly growing EV driving population.”

Invented and manufactured in the US, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and generates enough clean, solar electricity to power 150 miles of EV driving each day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™, which enables the array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™ product’s energy storage technology for charging day or night. Because the EV ARC™ product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease.

According to a new report from Navigant Research, the states of California, New York, Washington, and Florida will lead the United States in annual sales of PEVs through 2022.
