Envision Solar Receives Purchase Order From the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to Supply EV ARC™ Transportable Solar-Powered EV Chargers

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – (July 23, 2015) – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media and branding and EV charging product company, is pleased to announce that the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has issued a Purchase Order against the recently announced California State Contract awarded to Envision Solar earlier this month. Caltrans’ first Purchase Order is for 11 EV ARC™ units and has a dollar value of $749,508.00. The units will be delivered within the next 90 days.

On July 16, 2015, Envision Solar announced that the State of California awarded the Company a one-year contract, with two one-year extensions to supply state and local offices and departments with the Company’s unique and patent pending EV ARC™ solar-powered EV chargers.

“Caltrans is one of the biggest and most innovative departments of transportation in the world,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “We are thrilled that the first purchase order from our state contract has come from such a prestigious group. We look forward to fulfilling many more orders in the coming months and are delighted to be off to such a promising start with the State of California.”

Invented and manufactured in the US, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and generates enough clean, solar electricity to power 150 miles of EV driving each day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™, which enables the array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™ Power Storage Technology, allowing EV’s to charge during the day or at night. The EV ARC™ requires no trenching, foundations or installation work, allowing it to be deployed in minutes and moved to a new location with ease. Envision Solar’s EV ARC™ products are manufactured in San Diego by combat veterans, minorities, workers with disabilities and other highly talented and mission-driven team members.
