Envision Solar Receives Order to Supply 12 Solar Tree® Systems for an Illinois County Court System

SAN DIEGO, CALIF.  Dec. 15, 2016 – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, outdoor advertising, EV charging and energy security product company, announced today that the largest County in Illinois has ordered its Solar Tree® systems to be deployed in County Court facilities.

The Solar Tree® systems will be deployed in the parking lots of the municipality’s County Courthouse campus. The Solar Tree system will provide solar-powered EV charging and clean, emissions-free energy for the Courthouse.

Invented and manufactured in California, Envision Solar’s Solar Tree® Arrays are widely considered the highest quality, fastest deployed and most attractive turnkey photovoltaic parking shade systems in the industry. A Solar Tree® structure shades six to eight standard car parking spaces and simultaneously produces enough clean energy to deliver up to 700 miles of electric driving or power six family homes per day. The energy produced can be used to reduce utility bills, charge EVs or be stored for emergency use.

A third-party vendor contracted by the County will receive the Solar Tree® systems for installation. The Solar Tree requires limited assembly that allows vendors to install high-quality and unique solar structures without committing resources to solar engineering or fabrication. Each kit arrives at the customer site with everything needed to complete the installation of the Solar Tree® system.

“This latest deployment of our Solar Tree products in Illinois is a great testament to the quality and innovation we continue to produce,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “We are delighted to work with a vendor and the County to provide what we, and they, believe is the highest quality and most easily installed solar solutions in the industry.”

The system’s solar electrical generation can be enhanced by the patented EnvisionTrak™ system, which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25 percent more electricity than a fixed array. Optional energy storage allows for energy security, demand charge reduction and off-grid deployments. The Solar Tree® can be installed rapidly with minimal site disruption. Solar Tree® products are manufactured in the Company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, the disabled, minorities and other highly talented, mission-driven team members.
