Envision Solar Receives Follow-On Purchase Orders from California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to Supply EV ARC™ Transportable Solar-Powered EV Chargers

SAN DIEGO, CALIF.  May 26, 2016 – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media and branding and EV charging product company, announced today that the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) has issued further purchase orders against the California State Contract awarded to Envision Solar in 2015.

On July 16, 2015, Envision Solar announced that the State of California awarded the Company a one-year contract with two one-year extensions to supply state and local offices and departments with the Company’s unique and patent pending EV ARC™ solar-powered EV chargers.

Envision Solar has previously delivered EV ARC™ units for Caltrans to the following locations: Fresno, Sacramento, Orange County, Elk Grove, Baldwin Park, Rancho Cordovo, El Cajon and San Diego. The units covered by the recent purchase orders will be deployed in locations across Southern and Central California.

“Caltrans is a discerning and experienced customer,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “I’m very happy to receive repeat orders from them and proud that our product delivers the kind of unique value and quality they need to make such decisions.”

Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and does not reduce available parking in any way. It generates enough clean, solar electricity to power up to 150 miles of EV driving each day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by the patented EnvisionTrak™ system, which causes the array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™ product’s energy storage for charging day or night. Because the EV ARC™ product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease. EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the Company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, the disabled, minorities and other highly talented, mission-driven team members.
