City of Santa Monica Selects Envision Solar EV ARC™ Solar Charging Station for Municipal Airport

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – June 15th, 2017 – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewably energized EV charging, outdoor media and energy security products company, announced that the City of Santa Monica, California will deploy its EV ARC™ product at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport to provide emissions-free EV charging and emergency power.

“Putting in EV charging infrastructure is actually quite complex and this technology hopscotches most of the headaches,” said James Conway, Senior Sustainability Analyst for the City of Santa Monica. “This investment marks an early and important demonstration of how distributed energy generation can work for us. It is modular and flexible and supports our mission to provide innovative, renewable, reliable, and convenient sources of energy to get us closer to our ambitious goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.”

“We’re very happy that Santa Monica has selected EV ARC for the Airport,” said Envision Solar CEO Desmond Wheatley. “Airports have some of the busiest parking lots in the country and trenching and other construction work is generally even more complicated and expensive than in other locations.”

According to the CIA World Factbook there were 15,079 airports in the United States in 2010 and that number is increasing. EV ARC™ products are ideally suited for environments where construction and electrical work is complex and expensive. Additionally, airports have a higher than normal requirement for the stand by and emergency power delivered by EV ARC™. The Company believes the airport market is another significant opportunity which has been validated by this order from one of the nation’s best known Municipal Airports.

Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space and generates enough clean, solar electricity to power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™ product’s energy storage for charging day or night and to provide emergency power during a grid failure. Because the EV ARC™ product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease.  EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the Company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, the disabled, minorities and other highly talented, mission-driven team members.
