Envision Solar Announces Delivery of EV ARC™ Product to Another Department of Energy National Laboratory

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – May 24th, 2018 – Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewably energized EV charging, outdoor media and energy security products company, announced the successful delivery of another EV ARC™ product to a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory to provide emissions-free EV charging for its fleet vehicles.

DOE National Laboratories are in the process of transitioning their fleets to zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs). The EV ARC™ products’ ease of deployment and environmental impact-free installation coupled with the truly emissions-free driving it delivers were major factors in the Lab’s decision to select the EV ARC™ over grid-tied options. The processes associated with construction, trenching, concrete and electrical work, typical to grid-tied installations, can be particularly burdensome in National Laboratory settings. EV ARC™ products’ deployment in minutes with no construction or site work requirements makes the deployment of EV charging infrastructure much more executable, particularly in controlled environments.

“These repeat orders from government agencies give us a strong indication that our business model of making EV charging easy, rapid and scalable for high-value customers is working,” said Envision Solar CEO Desmond Wheatley. “Historically high sales, backlog and pipeline give us further reason to feel that we continue to be on the right track.”

In many locations fleet vehicles are electrifying faster than the general driving public. So far this year, the mayors of LA, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle have partnered on a Request for Information for 24,000 electric fleet vehicles and 30 other major cities are seeking the same information. According to Bloomberg, the landmark EV order has an estimated price of $10 billion. Envision Solar views fleets as a major opportunity and is currently supplying New York and many other cities.

Invented and manufactured in California, the patented EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space, but does not reduce available parking, and generates enough clean solar electricity to power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC™ product’s energy storage for charging day or night, and to provide emergency power during grid failure. Because the EV ARC™ product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease.  EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other minority demographics and highly talented, mission-driven team members.
