Scalable Energy Storage,
Engineered and
Built in Illinois

Beam Global designs and manufactures scalable and rack-mounted battery energy storage systems for commercial, industrial and infrastructure applications.

This is the same pack technology, the same patented PCC™ thermal management and the same battery management architecture Beam delivers into drone, defense and robotics programs — built for stationary use.

The Hardware

Rack-mounted packs housed in a cabinet, designed for harsh environments.
Systems scale by adding packs in parallel, up to an architecture designed to reach 1 MWh.
Cell chemistry, series and parallel configuration, bus bar sizing and BMS tier are all specified to the installation rather than fixed at a catalog part number.
Patented Phase Change Composite (PCC™) passive thermal management throughout. PCC™ requires no pumps, fans or coolant to function, and can be combined with active cooling where the duty cycle demands it.

Across the Voltage Range

The platform is designed to span 48V class, 400V class and 800V.
A common module architecture runs across the range, so moving between system voltages — or into rack-mount packaging — requires configuration and powerelectronics changes rather than a wholesale pack redesign.
Configuration for a given installation — voltage, energy, power and packaging — is confirmed at quote.

Two Levels of Performance

Most stationary storage is specified on energy — how much it holds, and for how long. Beam builds both that and something less common.
Standard configurations deliver dependable stored energy for peak management, backup and renewable integration.
High-pulse-power configurations deliver large amounts of power over periods measured in seconds to minutes, for installations limited by how fast power can be delivered and absorbed rather than by how much energy is stored.
The high-pulse-power configuration uses the same platform behind Beam’s data center work. It is intended for applications where transient power, rather than longduration energy, is the primary constraint.

Engineered and Built by Beam

Beam is not assembling third-party modules into an enclosure. Mechanical design, electrical design, battery management system development and manufacturing are all done by one Beam team, led from Broadview, Illinois, where the packs are built.
That matters over the life of the installation. When a question comes up about cell selection, thermal behavior or a BMS parameter, the answer comes from the people who designed it.

Safety and Compliance

Every pack is built with a multi-layered protection architecture, designed so that a single-cell event does not become a pack-level event.
• Flame-retardant PCC™ material, rated UL 94 V-0.
• Beam systems are designed to meet UL 1973 and engineered toward UL 9540A test protocols.

Already Deployed

Beam batteries are in continuous service in Beam’s own EV ARC™ systems, deployed across government, commercial and emergency-response sites. Beam is its own most demanding customer for stationary storage.
